Mid Week Sneak Peek - H&D Epilogue

OK - it's ain't much, 'cause it's a short chapter anyway, but let me know what you think of Boobward's dirty mouth. ;)

Not able to wait any longer after the drive, I leaped from the doorway to the couch in one jump, cradling Bella in my arms so she wasn’t jostled too much. I landed hovered over on top of her, my lips at her neck.

“Are you going to do it right now?” Bella asked with a giggle.

“No, I’m going to fuck you senseless first.”

“Edward Cullen!” Bella exclaimed, laughing again. “I think you have been spending too much time with Emmett.”

“I’ve spent decades with Emmett,” I reminded her. “Undoubtedly, it has been way too much time.”

Ahhhh....what next?

I'm just a bit of smut away from having the epilogue for H&D complete. I may even finish it up before the weekend. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to focus on next! So many choices...

• Surviving Bella, Chapter 7 (75% done)
• Carlisle, Bella and the Banana contest winner's request (already in progress)
• A new story I've been working on for a while (1st chapter 90% done)
• H&D outtakes (Chapter 15 is first, barely started on this)
• Plot for Twilight Big Bang challenge - I have a couple in mind, trying to decide between another vamp story or AH (got a preference?)

HEA for Boobward? (Spoiler Warning!)

So, for those who have read and reviewed chapter 34 and found the ending (sans epilogue) not "HEA enough" I have a question - Does this Edward deserve a complete and unimpaired HEA? Let's look back on what he's done - violently attacked and kidnapped Bella, killed a store clerk and a nurse with a family, nearly attacked a child for touching Bella, attacked his own brother, almost killed Newton and a variety of other transgressions. After all of that, should he have complete absolution? Or should he have a reminder that some choices come with a high cost?

H&D Chapter 34

The last full-length chapter for Hide and Drink is off to Beta! Not much longer before this little ride will come to the finish line, or whatever. Pick your cliche. The epilogue will be out next weekend and we'll call H&D complete.

This one's a good long chapter, too. With plenty of smut! Well, at least a bit. Boobward's definitely not complaining. Here's another little sample for ya to hold you off until tomorrow...

“Is this what you want?” I asked, my voice dark and husky. The sight of her bare backside angled up in a most enticing way was making it hard to control myself. I curled my fingers and felt her muscles shudder around me.

I pulled my fingers from her and leaned over her back, putting my ear close to hers. I grasped myself around the shaft of my penis and slowly stroked the tip up and down her labia.

“More what, Bella?”

“Oh God, Edward…don’t tease me…”

“Carlisle?”

Edward, come in. I was hoping you could look at some of these charts with me.

“I can do that,” I said, not overly optimistic with the proposal. The last several times we had looked over them I had remained mostly silent, agreeing with his findings and not offering much of an opinion. I couldn’t. I didn’t have an opinion. I could barely discern what the data was indicating.

This one has lasted longer than any of the others.

“Are you sure you haven’t noticed any issues, any problems?” Carlisle asked.

I debated in my head. I could tell him. I should tell him. I came in here for the sole purpose of telling him exactly what had been happening. At this point, it didn’t matter anyway. My hesitation was enough to make him look at me more closely.

“Edward?” Carlisle pressed.

You’ve noticed something, haven’t you? Something since yesterday?

“Not exactly,” I said with a sigh. I sat down in the chair across from his desk, deciding I might as well come clean. “There are things that I know aren’t right, but it doesn’t matter.”

“What doesn’t matter?”

“The side effects,” I clarified. “It doesn’t matter because I’m not going to do this anymore.”

Celebration Time!

I am attending Star Wars Celebration V this weekend, and having a fantastic time with old friends and new. I've had entirely too much to drink, and haven't written a damn word. It's probably best I don't write under these circumstances anyway. There's no telling what I would say! There are all these cute little lizards all over the courtyard of the hotel - someone said they were Geckos, but I'm not sure.

H&D chapter 34 will probably not be out until next weekend. :( It's a fairly important one, and I'm being a little picky about getting it just right, and of course I've taken a five day hiatus to be a geek. I will at least get a good teaser in sometime this week.

Off to Orlando!

Hello all! I'm off to Orlando first thing in the morning for the Star Wars Celebration V convention. I hope to get a lot of work done on chapter 34 while I'm on the plane, assuming I can stay away that long. I have a VERY early flight!

Up Early on Saturday???

Happy weekend to all! I'm working on chapter 33 still - it's moving a little slower than I would like. I've got a sick kid at home, so I was trying to write and take care of her at the same time, which wasn't all together successful. So I'm up at some ungodly hour on a Saturday morning trying to write smut. There's definitely something not quite right about that!

I am hoping to have chapter 33 done tonight or tomorrow morning and off to beta. Hopefully it will post by Monday. Cross your fingers! It looks like chapter 34 (already half written) will be the last "real chapter," with chapter 35 as the epilogue. We're almost there, folks!

Don't forget - Carlisle Bella and the Banana Contest entries have to be sent in by the end of the day tomorrow! Get those entries in! I still want to see one with Carlisle slipping Bella the banana...

“Of course,” I snapped at Carlisle, and then apologized. I was on edge, though I thought it was with pretty good reason. “I’ll plan on staying here for at least the first three days. Hopefully we’ll have some kind of idea if it’s working or not by then. Bella is always threatening to cut me off if I try to drive anywhere right after a new treatment, anyway.”

Carlisle laughed, and I realized what I had just said.

“I mean…I didn’t mean to say…”

“It’s quite all right, Edward,” Carlisle smirked. “That particular threat transcends humans, vampires, and the centuries.”
