There is a Line!

Just a quick little story to share.  So, I thought several of you would appreciate this, and it was way too long to tweet out.

My husband and I were shucking corn for dinner, and I made some innocuous comment about the corn being all sticky.  Hubby, being a typical Mr. Savage, says “I’ll make you sticky later, babe!”  I gave his the obligatory eye roll, and asked if he’d be rubbing me with corn.  He seemed to think that was a great idea, and started talking about butter, and it just devolved from there.

Then he pipes up with “You could write fan fiction about this!”

I immediately respond with a deadpan “No thanks.”

And he says “Oh, so you DO have a line you won’t cross!”

Anyway – it was darn funny at the time.  Not sure if it still is or not…

Have a happy Monday!

  1. Only makes me think of another fic with corn and amish. So it is being done, but with a more clean innocent male mind. Sorry Mr. Savage, watch me as I roll my eyes too. Men.

  2. Is it okay to admit to having a bit of a crush on Mr Savage?!  Mind you, when I think of butter - you know, in THAT context - I automatically think of that chapter in Last Tango in Forks ... you know the one, where he's on the floor with french bread and butter and Bella arrives and he finds an alternative use for the butter ... yeah?  You know the one I'm talking about LOL

  3. OMG, does Mr. Savage actually READ fanfiction?  That comment was way too close to LTIF!  Love all your stories, shocked me with Ch 100, I'll think of little else till 101 comes!

  7. you should have told him you would write about it if it was funny!  ahaha!  he sounds absolutely adorable.  '

so here are some questions i put on the forum but not sure if you visit there.

in the letter Edward sr. says: I have never even seen him, since that's how Esme wanted it, but he is my biological son. YET - Edward jr. saw HIM at the funeral. SO, which is true?AND: WHO told Edward Sr. that he was in an accident? WHO??????ANd why is his name Edward????????????? if esme wanted nothing to do with him?Did Carlisle not know his name back them and if not, how horrified would he have been to learn Esme named him after his bio father?WHEN is Savage going to reveal who Edward kept calling - who kept fixing all his problems for him. Might that be Edward Sr.? Could it be? It's like Savage just dropped that plot line completely - the secretive man.And whatever happened to gay Alice? Remember at one point Savage hinted at a three way be tween them all? I know she was joking, but still Alice is just gone. One last questoin - does anyone remember when Edward made out with leah on the bus? He says he did this after he met bella, but was it ever talked about during that time frame

  8. My mind also immediately went to the butter scene in "Last Tango in Forks". Also, I've been reading "Bear Creek Ranch" by Lady Gwynedd (sequel to "The Mail Order Bride") and she put in a AN about people using corn cobs as toilet paper in the old days. Not sexual, but still.

  9. I think Hide and Drink wins hands down. I've written a lot about it. I am still contemplating it and tonight on my drive back from St. Louis I made more connections.
