The Elusive Mr Cullen

I just finished The Elusive Mr Cullen today.  I rarely actually finish a story, because usually about the time Bella and Edward "hook up" the plot falls apart and nothing interesting happens anymore.  I'll putz along for a couple more chapters before I drop it and never finish it.

Not this one.

Holy shit.

I got to the point where I would normally close the window and not read anymore, and got dumped on my ass instead.  I loved it.  It ain't for everyone, I'm sure.  But if you like your roller coasters with a little extra hang time, maybe just a bit of track-jumping, and maybe with a plunging to your deaths kind of ride, well, this story rocks.

And it's complete.

Check it out!

  1. I loved it also. She wrote a completely different Edward which is hardly ever done before.

  2. This fic is being talked about EVERYWHERE.  I had some suspicions based on comments I'd read and I did something I've never done before.  I skimmed the last chapter (and read the post story Q&A session).  Yes, I did and I'm not ashamed.  I have no doubt that the story is exciting and well written, but I can't read it.  I won't give my reasons why so I don't spoil it for anyone who may still be planning to read.  I just don't want you, Savage, to get any ideas for your future stories from this one!   ;-)

  4. It was insane!!!! It messes up your mind... The final chapters reminded me of the story of Blue beard and his 12 wives. Crazy as hell... And hell away with canon pairings! Well kind of I guess.

  6. I havent read it. I read pretty much everything that doesnt contain intentional or untintentional cheating for long periods of times. I can deal with a short hook up or 1 night stand even when Edward and Bella are somehow together, but after heartfelt promises and undying love, I cant deal with stupidity for long time. I can deal with death, abuse, arrogance, violence. Ill check this story out. I dont strive for HEA btw, just things to add up.

  7. I read it. Well, i have absolutely no problem with it, just the motives why she wrote it. Obviously she hates the twilight characters. She says in her Q&A she cant understand how somebody can stalk and remove somebody else from home and humanity and call it great love. Well ok, its her choice, but why going around and manipulating those characters to make a piss off point  and fuck up those characters to a point to get personal satisfaction and prove her distain for those characters and those character lovers. She can easily chose other characters as inspiration. She forgot that those are sparkly vampires for crying out loud. She can just ignore twilight exists. Why all this anger? Other than that yeah, its your typical serial killer. The crime of passion and the fucked up baggage which comes with it.  Me too, not have any problems with killing Edwards, or whoring Edwards, or manipulative ones or violent ones as long as it makes sense. Im really glad Edward and Bella didn’t end up together and it makes sense. She fucked them up to the point that I was screaming ruuuuuuuunnnnn!. At least she put a good warning in the beginning of the story. I can give her that. Im my opinion, from what I have read there are only 2 twilight based stories I can distinguish in this fandom. Vamp story: Hide and Drink. Non vamp story: the one and the only Emancipation Proclamation.

  10. I have no problem recommending non-HEA stories.  Take that as you will. :)  I don't agree at all with the above poster's view that the writer hates the Twilight characters.  The writer very eloquently states she has issue with the idea that stalking can be romantic/favorable.  I don't think that translates into "I hate Twilight Characters." :)  I think it was extremely thought provoking.

  11. this story is so captivating i remember when she wrote the chapter before the last because i knew they really would not end up together i closed the tab only to reopen it and find out what happned in the end which kinda sucked cause i love HEA but all in all it was good if you into manipulative, stalker type edward

  12. This story is fabulous, but as a reader who read it from the beginning update to update, now that it is finished I advise you not to skip ahead. the trip it takes you on if you read it from beginning to end is amazing and should not be missed!

  13. well then she is being a big hypocrite since she finds inspiration in a stalker/seriall killer Edward labeling her story Romance/Angst, exactly like twilight books.

  16. I hate you so much for recommending this. I love all your recs, and specially your own story cause I know at the end theyll manage their Fuck ups and be somehow happy. I actually read this before but i stop in chapter 13 I guess, probably not yet finished then and I just forgot eventually. So I dive in again with no protection what so ever it fucks me up 10 ways frOm Sunday. I still finished it thought but it's not something I'll recommend or read again ever, probably wish I'll forgot about it tomorro.

  17. Definitely not story for everyone but definitely a roller coaster of a story if there ever was one. An amazing, twisted, and scary roller coaster...
