I Can Hardly Believe it...

...But I think the next Unexpected Circumstances is off to beta.  It's a really long one, so hopefully that will placate readers a bit for having to wait a bit longer.  As soon as I get it back, I will get it posted!  Hang in there - not too much longer now!

Congratulations to the Japanese Women's Team for their World Cup win.  It was a fantastic game!

  4. "Hang in there - not too much longer now!"

Do you mean hang in there 6 months untill Edward stops thoroughly fucking Angela? After that its gonna be ok? Everybody is going to be ok? They will pretend it never happened?. we will pretend it never happened? Oh now i get your idea of angst. I know, I know i can stop reading if I dont like it, but there are so many contradictios in your story, its a shame, it was a good one.....sorry, nothing personal though.

  5. Savage,

I am holding my breath here. I want the chapter now..lol. I have one question though, if you can answer always. Why did you chose a virgin for Edward to bear his children? Wouldnt be better to have somebody who has had sexual experiences before, so she wouldnt be scared as of what/how would happen to her (knowing edward wouldnt take a virgin lightly or forcefully), or somebody who had had chldren before as a guarantee she could get pregnant? wouldnt Edward need some guarantee at least? Or why did you make angela a virgin?..lol

    ReplyDelete
  6. Edward was backed into a corner, panicked, and chose the first person who came to mind, really.  He doesn't tend to think things through, which you may have noticed. :)

    ReplyDelete
  7. sure I have noticed that, and I want to slap him so hard in that cute arse of his...lol, but my God Savy, how is he going to go through with it? It is already just so hard for him to the way it is, imagine the added stress to deal with a virgin. I cant wrap my mind about it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I meant there wouldn't be that much longer until the next chapter. :)  Like you said - if you don't like what is happening, think its contradictory, whatever - don't read it.  You aren't obligated to read it or like it if you do.  The story isn't going to be for everyone.  I'm terribly sorry if you don't like it, but all I can really suggest at this point is if the subject matter upsets you so much, you should to stop reading it.

    ReplyDelete
  9. No, the subject matter was a really good one, until you tried to complicate it so much for the shock value or whatever. It is not my story, but I think there are so many other ways this story could have gone still being angsty without trying so hard to be upseting or perverted. As the guest above pointed out, now Edward has to defile Angela too, becuase fucking her wasnt enough? why so dramatic? I mean unless you like your Edward being an idiot through and through and Isabella being so nice as to tend her best friends soreness the night after she lost her virginity to her husband for the cause....then halleluja...of course.

    ReplyDelete
  10. How do you feel about Old Yeller?  Bridge too Terribithia? Where the Red Fern Grows?  Romeo and Juliet?  Anything by Harlan Ellison?  (No, I'm not comparing myself to these authors, just the difficult subject matter.)  Again (and this is the last time I'm saying this), if the angst as it is is not your thing, if you think it is perverted, if you just don't like the way I call her Isabella instead of Bella, stop reading it.  You are obviously unhappy about it, so why are you putting yourself through the trouble?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm afraid to read the next chapter!!

I will - I don't have the kind of will power to wait until the end - but still I'm nervous.  It's like that feeling when you're on a rollercoaster, slowly climbing that steep hill - knowing at any second you're going over!  So here I am, holding on, waiting for my stomach to drop.

  12. I am a reader as anybody else and I have the right to review or say how i see it. Once you post a story for the wide public there is the risk of having readers like myself who dont like certain aspects of your story. I am not the only one and rest assured not in minority either. I loved your story up to the point where I though what the hell? I dont read fluff, i can deal with the death of a dear character, but I just cant deal with the Idea of Edward fucking her wife's virgin best friend because he is an idiot. Why is he crying like a brat then? He had this brilliant idea of chosing angela because his wife would aprove. She approved it, encouraged it, then why being so melodramatic. As for Bella/Isabella, i dont give a damn if you call her Isabella Marie or Janet Jackson for that matter. As for Romeo and Juliet etc etc, I would appreciate you have put in you summary and warning Angst/Tragedy if you are trying to compare their subject matters. Again, do not take it personally, Yes I have a choice, but damn it, I read 75% of this amaizng story and I dont want to flush it down to the toilet because of 2 chapters and uneccessary upseting drama. I would be ok with a concubine, but couldnt you at least chose an unknown woman called anything but Angela? I understand your Edward is a flawed idiot, but why are you making Isabella support a complete jerk my God? He was a jerk to her since day one, a war hungry ill tempered animal. She made him human and now he is causing her tremendous pain. Im not convinced he really loves her. I dont think Edward will be in much pain after few times he fucks a virgin. If you want to keep it real though, this experience will stick with Isabella her whole life even she is so nice and forgiving....just human nature. Even back then people were made of flesh and blood, not vampires or super heroes.

  13. I can't wait!  It was hard for me to deal with the fact he had to use another route to get an heir but that's what happened back in those times. Not to mention that it's AMAZING story line and I'm addicted to it!  Again, I can't wait!!!!!  :)

  14. Hi. I think that even though I am a 21st century reader, and maybe I can't comprehend the culture, customs, times, circumstances, etc.,of this period, it boils down to a simple thing:  People are having a difficult time with the concubine aspect of this story because even in the middle ages,  these are still  human beings, even though they are fictional. People were people, even in the medieval times. They still had the same feelings and emotions. I guess if Edward and Isabella's relationship was written more like King Henrey and his wife, I would be inclined to go along with the justificaion for Edward's having sex for 6 months with his wife's only friend.  I guess it boils down to Edward passing along his bloodline vs. destroying  Isabella. His need to secure an heir so he can go to war with Voltura comes first.  The kingdom comes first. I wonder why Carlisle didn't think of this over 20 yearago.  What is more important to him? I guess we will soon find out what he chooses.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Exactly thats what im talking about when i say there are contraditions. Im not saying I cant deal with the idea of a concubine, but why it came to this, and where did Edward's undying love for Isabella go? Carlise loved Esme more then, why? sharing your husband intimately with your best friend and a vigin one no less is 1000 harder than having to share him with a stranger, still hard but at least I would accept it and move on.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Just reading through some of the comments and I have a question?  Where did it say Angela was a virgin??
I read the teaser, and Esme's thoughts - did I miss something?  Did Savage mention this in a response to feedback?
Not that it matters too much - I just don't want to miss anything pertaining to this story.
    can someone help please?

    ReplyDelete
  17. This is the summary I found on the back of an "Old Yeller" book: "The stray dog was ugly, and a thieving rascal, too. But he sure was
clever, and a smart dog could be a big help on the wild Texas frontier,
especially with Papa away on a long cattle drive up to Abilene.Strong
and courageous, Old Yeller proved that he could protect Travis's family
from any sort of danger. But can Travis do the same for Old Yeller?"

Anywhere in there that says it's a tragedy?  Anywhere where it says the kid has to shoot his dog in the end?  No.

Was I shocked?  Did I cry?  Was I angry about it when I first read it?  Did I want them to find some way to save him?  Yes!

Did that make it less of a story?  No.

For me, it would have been less of a story if someone had told me what was going to happen before I got there.

Really - I understand where you are coming from, but just as you have every right to express your feelings on what is going on, I get to write it the way I believe it needs to be written.  I understand what I'm doing here, it makes sense to me, and I'm satisfied with it. Review how you like, but it sounds like you are stressing yourself out over it.

In case it's not obvious - you aren't supposed to like this part of the story!  It's awful!   But don't let it stress you out.  It's not worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It's not actually mentioned, but it is implied.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Of course it is stressful when you like a story so much and suddenly you take a hard slap on the face that you dont understand whats happening and what did you do to deserve it. I havent read the dog story, but I have read great love stories which even though the main characters died it made sense. What im saying is that if the way you write makes sense to you, then please go on, im not trying to influence you, but I dont understand, this particular aspect of your story doesnt make neccessarly sense to me and many others like myself. Not to look pretentios or anything but im not a desperate houswife who watches soaps all day long, no. I am a lgical, rationale and educated person, and for all the reasons I mentioned cant just understand why it came to this and why these characters are behaving this way? Why should I wait for it to be complete? Will you undo what you did? or will you make it so right all at once? It doesnt make sense to me that Edward should take a virgin to fornicate and knock her up. Maybe you overlooked this aspect, but it is imortant to me and others. Can you answer why? for shock factor? Well maybe after you explain it to me and maybe after reading the next chapter i will understand it better? I so hope to.

    ReplyDelete
  20. It is mentioned Savage. It is clear when Isabella talks to Angela in chapter 24.

""Well," Angela said with a nod. "Though I'm not sure exactly what
Princess Jessica has in mind, she seems to be hinting at the possibility
of marrying me to someone, though I know not who it could be. I am well
past marrying age, though, and I'm worried who it may be. At least I
have never been given to a man, so I hope it will be someone of good
    station."

It is not implied, it is clear..yuck!

    ReplyDelete
  21. After a few more chapters post, I can answer, yes - but I can't guarantee the answer will be satisfying to you personally.  It is not purely for the sake of "shock factor."

    ReplyDelete
  22. That's what I meant by implied - "not given to a man" implied virginity. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well to me is clear anyway. She will be given to Edward though...poor Edward...lol. You know whats sad though? Yeah the next chapter will be out, we will be talking and bitching about it for a week, then we will stop and move on, but I have read lots of reviews and trust me 2 out of 3 reviewers genuinly believe that you wont dissapoint and make something happen which will not lead Edward to defile Angela, but make him think for once before the damage is done. They say they trust you. It will be fun to watch their hopes crash and burn lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. So there is a reason why you chose Edward take a virgin to knock up other than shock and hearbreak? wow...pervertly interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  25. unless Edward will start yo slowly fall for Angela the way he did for Isabella? Afterall its not such a different situation. He used them both to achieve his goals, defiled them and slowly fell for them, why not, i see endless possibilities. I hope Isabella takes it as a real future Queen would though.

    ReplyDelete
  26. oh and last, unless you tell me that Edward likes it tight and unused, i think i might understand why he did take a virgin. wow, I loved all your stories Savage, I cant bring myself to get past this...I dont, i cant believe it. sometimes you try to create something big, untill it gets bigger than you...no offence intended. i might love you future chapters. I really do want to. In case you convince me it really was worth the truble then i will eat my own words, Gladly.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I feel you people. Apart from sleeping with virgin best friend concubine, I cant bring myself to think how will Edward be able to have sex with 2 women in the same time, one of them being his great love. I cannot imagine after sexing Angela he comes back and takes his wife to bed. That part is really the hardest one. How will they be able to go on with this arrangement for months? We were led to believe Edward's and Bella's love would conquer all. This is very insulting to his wife. She is a saint for accepting this. If I was her I would step away from this situation for a while and let Edward deal with his concubine and hair making process. Im disspointed too.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh my gosh, how much longer do we have to wait?  It seems as though Edward has been with Angela since June 30th, and Isabella has been crying in her bed alone since then as well.  This is torture!

    ReplyDelete
  29. well, obviously torture is the newest form of angst

    ReplyDelete
  30. I could say the same thing about you, too.

;PIf Edward doesn't end up having sex with Angela, I can guarantee that I won't be the only one that gets a good laugh out of all the virtual jaw drops that will occur by the negative nancys such as yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  31.  I still think things could go either way in this story; I go back and forth about how I think it's going to go. I don't want Edward to have to sleep with Angela, and I can understand why people are upset. But I think one thing this hinges on is whether he is truly backed into a corner. A lot of people want Edward to find a way out, and so do I, but this way out has to make sense.  So... what if he is TRULY backed into a corner; they've decided not to run, and there is absolutely no other way for them. In that case, if he doesn't go through with this, then he will have his marriage to Bella annulled, and he will be forced to marry Jessica.  Is that an outcome everyone will be happier with?  Hey, at least the he'll be married to the woman he has to have sex with.
I know that human feelings are involved here, but I do think that the culture being represented has a lot to do with how these people will look at things. There ARE differences in various cultures, hence the term "culture shock." I just don't think that can be discounted completely. With that said, I know that wouldn't be enough for some people. It seems most will see this as Edward betraying  Bella, even if the alternative is Jessica.  I honestly don't know what to think myself.  It will truly be heartbreaking if he has to do this; but I still don't think all will be lost.  That's the one place I really don't want to go. But, I'm not going to tell this author to write this any other way than what she has envisioned.  Either buckle up and ride it out or bail, but let her do her thing.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Excuse me, but if you really think Edward doesnt defile Angela, then you are too naive. I wouldnt bother commenting here if i wasnt sure about it 120%. Dont you see thats the whole point of being pround about this type of angst? I just dont know if all the trouble will be worth it at the end, becase for sure fucking Angela wont make Aro back off. Last, Im not being negative, it is what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Who is telling her how to write it? And i never thought she would lidten anyway. We are entitled to out opinons no? Edward has nobody to blame for being cornered like that but himself and his irrationale and volatile self. He is going to have sex with his wife's best friend, a virgin one. Is there any more ways to humiliate his wife? It  is not a 1 time occurrence damn it, how could people be ok with it? What pisses me off more is how people try ro justify edward, poor him he has no choice but to fuck another virgin, poor him indeed, going again and again to her, while her wife cries like a lonely soul every night.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jessica would be the best thing happening to Edward, would serve him well. He should be punished not poor Isabella. I would vote for the marriage to be anulled, and I want to see Edward fight to win Isabella back and properly marry her this time. In the meantime I wanted him to be forced to fuck Jessica too. But of course Isabella should take all the humiliation and pain.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'll give you credit for finally saying what everyone else has been either too afraid to say or hasn't said because they don't want it to happen: annul the marriage instead of taking on a concubine. That would be an interesting direction for the story, and I'll also admit that it'd be a direction that I'd be interested in reading through.

HOWEVER: "Poor Isabella?" Really? Did you not just say that this is "angst to be proud of?" And, to your earlier reply: Yes, you are being at least SOMEWHAT negative. The majority of the people that you've responded to wouldn't be saying such things as, "Let Savage write her own thing" if you weren't crossing the boundary between giving an opinion and just being plain annoying with your constant complaining. We get it. Really, we do. You made your point after the entire CONVERSATION that you had with Savage. You don't agree with where the story is going. So, here's what you do, you build a metaphorical bridge for this story and walk over it or stop reading it. Simple as that.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Just started reading this and love it.  It's angsty for sure, but I can deal with it.  Life was different back then - values were different.  I don't want Edward to sleep with Angela, but I'm not writing the story, am I?  I'd rather her than Jessica, though.  I just hope emotions don't get too confused with this new development...

You know who I don't trust?  Jane and her tea.  I may be way off-base here, but it seems like this may be a factor in Isabella's fertility issue.  It's even more suspect that Angela was given the tea, as well.  And Edward still doesn't trust her.  Hmmm.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hello. I don't feel sorry for Edward at all.  He created this mess and his wife is paying for it, even if she is doing it willingly, She doesn't know any better.  She is only used to doing what she is told, and now she is being told the kingdom comes first.  I I think he has 2 choices: either annul the marriage and leave Isabella with her dignity and honor, or fight for her.  What I mean by fight for her is not f___ing a concubine for 6 straight months every night.  He is only feeding Isabella poison every night (figuratively speaking) when he leaves their room, slowly killing her. Again, Edward's strategy:  securing the blood line comes first, along with fulfilling Edward's needs to keep Isabella at all costs. Evenif it means killing her in the process. Sounds like a loser to me.

    ReplyDelete
  38. never said it better sista. That is why it doesnt even makes sense. I would handle any fuckery you throw at me, but it has to make sense as really the last, last option left. They are all losers, from Carlise to Esme to Edward. They knew this for months, they took the decision and didnt even care to prepare Isabella. We should be really happy he chose his wife's only friend, the virgin Angela? yeah really? Savage, you tried so hard to go where nobody had gone before, but it got out of hand. Nothing will make it right, nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. That was between me and Savage. Why do you get so upset? I wasnt being annoying. I have an opinion, so take your own advice, if you dont like it, dont read what i say. I dont usually complain, im straight to the point, and I stand by that. Seems like the moto of the day "if you dontt like it, stop reading". Yeah can you come up with a more intersting answer when you dont have more arguments to give? Its really becoming old. If this was happening in chapter 5, I would have stopped reading...relax. But it is really ridiculous to push people to stop reading after 25 chapters. says something about you as a writer. Dont worry though, savage wont listen to me, so stay cool and enjoy her story. sorry to hurt your feelings too.

    ReplyDelete
  40. So, by chapter 27 we will not cry anymore? Is it because Angela gets pregnant? I dont know if I will be able to stop crying if this is the case. Having Edward sleep with another woman while his wife gets nearly destroyed is one thing, but to have a child with another woman is a deal breaker for me. sad:(

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think that we have to remember that these were different times - Edward does not just want an heir he needs one - it was not uncommon for nobles to seek the 'services' of a concubine even if his wife had provided him with daughters.  The only fault I have is that Isabella could have been prepared better - I feel that the tea Jane is providing is the culprit - but I don't think Jane is doing it purposely - that would make Isabella a poor judge of character - and I really don't think she is - hopefully.  I am still hoping that the situation is resolved before the union with Angela is consummated - fingers crossed.

    ReplyDelete
  42. just thought you should know how ridiculous I have become...even though I have this story Favorited (I get those beautiful email notices) I have checked FFN literally 7 times today....Keep up the great work

    ReplyDelete
  43. sure, but their story should not have been portrayed as the biggest love story on earth. This is an edward/bella story, does not matter the time or setting. Concubines were common back then, but edwards werent hopelessly in love with their isabellas. thats the key point. Edward will savour and consumate Angela, unfortunately.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I am with you on that one Charvie.  I keep coming on the blog just in case  and then go on FFN.....all fucking day long.  lol. Crazy is not a strong enough word for me! Holy shit!

    Hi Savage!

I was just going to ask if you're actually going to have a love triangle in this story? :) Or is it just main Bella and Edward? It will be really fun if you add someone in the mix... :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Lara, you are so bloody annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thank you Sara, now you said your piece too, so move along!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I am with you. Having to sleep with a virgin woman you already like for at least 6 months (God forbid their first child is a girl), would make them comfortable with each other to the least. He is not having random sex with her, he will be having sex on regular basis with Angela. Even you are made of stone, at one point you will feel good about it.  Realistically speaking, thats what happened with him and Isabella. So I say since you wanted angst, on with it, go to the end of it. I  have my version of HEA. Edward ends up with 2 wifes, 5 kids, big nice family...lol
