Great Day for Soccer!

Happy Sunday!  It's a beautiful day here today (so far), though it is supposed to be about 93F later on this afternoon.  If you're in this heat - go out and do the yard stuff early!  I'm going to be coaching my daughter's soccer team this fall, so I have a coaches meeting (outside, of course) this afternoon in the height of the heat.  Ah well.

Holy moley!  Offside hit 20,000 reviews lat night!  Wow!  Thank you all so much!  I still can't believe how much people are enjoying it, really, typos and all!  I've been trying to go back and fix a lot of those. :)  I think I should probably give my lovely beta access to my account, because I figure the commas have to be driving her crazy by now.
Everyone still with me on the latest development?  I should have a new chapter out this morning, and maybe one more later on today, so you shouldn't be in cliffy hell much longer.

Have a wonderful day!

  2. I love the latest development in Offside. I can handle anything coming as long as Edward loves Bella this way. He has his own problems but he will protect her and even remove himself from her life if necessary to protect her. And ultimately he would give his own life for her. Too bad i dont feel the same with your Edward in UC. He got the most irresponsable and easy way out without regard for hurting people around, people he loves or simply human beings and continued to do so.

  3. Well Offside is still fine, nothing to freak out, the worst could happen is that Edward wont be able to play soccer or be disabled for a while, but he has his art and Rumple, see? Im dissapointed, I was hopping you would kill him, honestlly it happens in RL no? There is still lots of hope though. I think you are actually trying to make nice here to compensate for your major screw up in UC. JMO. Enjoy the day!

  4. I wasn't really phased by the accident. Kind of assumed it was where you were going. I didn't see any other way of them getting back together other then a tragedy. Wheelchair is fine with me, he has it art and music and seems that's what he wanted all along, soccer is more Carlisle's thing and Edward is doing it to please him. Very stereotypical in abusive relationships. Whether the accident brings father and son together remains to be seen, may be to rosey for you  :)  It would be nice if Carlisle was confronted by someone and got the treatment he really needs as opposed to people just wanting to see him dead. Just my opinion of course  :)

  5. Well I started reading Offside the other day.  I was going to wait until it was finished so I could read the whole thing but my other 50 stories that I am reading....just a little exaggerated.. have not been updated so I started to read and of course am hooked and up to date.  I think something had to have happened too like this in order for them to hopefully get back together.  Hoping for not paralyzed but soccer career over and he can consentrate on his art and Bella.  I'm sure cuz Savage is writing it that it won't be all rosey and shit but a little happiness for them would be good.  And someone said it should be nice or you were trying to be nice to make up for your screw-up with UC but I don't think what you're doing with UC is a screw-up.  You had a vision of how your story was going to go and you stuck to it even though it caused alot of friction with your fans.  I'm stressed about it too but it shouldn't be called a scew-up just because people are not liking the path it's taking.

  6. The reality of losing mobility and being assigned to a wheelchair is that your life is significantly shortened and , with loss of the use of your lower limbs, often comes a loss of potency and/or sexual function -- so if this is to be Edward's fate it is not a pretty one to contemplate, kind of a mixed bag for such a young man. Alive in a deteriorating body. Hate to see the downside of this and hope that his mobility is not compromised significantly, maybe just not enough to play soccer, but surely enough to be able to run with Bella. As far as relationship with Carlisle, the reality there is equally grim, abusive people are selfish and blind to the needs of others so it is extremely unlikely there will be a reconciliation there -- of course, this is a work of fiction, so perhaps  the author can work some miracles with this truly vile man, surely a person who never loved his son to begin with.

  7. correction re my UC comments: inconsistent with the plot progression up to an unlogical and unatural turn, drastically changing events over a paragraph, or neverchanging characters in a fucked up way and plot twists. I said JMO

  8. Hope Edwards mobility is only temporary as Patricia said. Enough to get Carlisle off his back and then he could go live with Charlie and Bella or maybe a long lost relative on his mothers side could suddenly appear to look after him and Carlisle could go take a flying leap of a long cliff!!

  9. Who thinks this Carlisle is off Edward's back is delusional. Now, it is only going to be more cruel, towards Edward, Bella and Charlie. If Edward has been vulnerable, now he is completely at Carlisle hands. And Carlisle truly hates him, the more I guess because ****  POTENTIAL SPOILER (my own ides)  Edward isn't Carlisle's biological son. Things coming to my mind are far worse than Edward on a wheelchair unable to play fotball (I am from Europe so this is fiitball here) or unable to make love to Bella. Not mentioning living with Bella and Charlie instead of Carlisle's mansion as it would be f***ing great so it will not f***ing happen, at leasn not before all the crap Savage planned :))) hapens.
    Thank you Savage.

  13. How about this, then?  You don't like it, you can't seem to follow the simple request I had to not clutter my blog with UC "commentary" (and I use that term very loosely in this case) on posts that have nothing to do with UC, and you obviously aren't happy.  Please consider another hobby - i.e., anything that doesn't involve littering my blog.  I will delete any further comments you make about UC on non UC related blog posts.  1...2...3...Clear?  ty
