Unexpected Circumstances Heartfail

It's been a few days since the last update, and I've decided to come out of hiding.  Really, it's just been a crazy-busy week, and I'm only on here now because I had to work early this morning. I'm done with work for now, and there's no way I can get back to sleep at this point.

I finally started reading the UC reviews.  I read the first few when I posted the chapter, and decided not to read any more for a while.  A bunch of you sneaky readers caught on to that, and started putting your opinions in your Offside Reviews!  Cheaters!!  LOL  Very clever, I suppose.  I'm thrilled everyone feels so strongly about Sir Edward and Isabella.

I'm not going to talk to much about the chapter right now.  I know some people are freaked out, and you should be. I'll remind you all of the general angst warning surrounding everything I write. Feel free to stop reading if you need to.  It will be a while (I still think this story is going to be around 40 chapters), but you can always wait until the end, read the last line, then pick up where you left off.  It makes my OCD shudder to consider this, but to each their own.  :)

Most of my thoughts on this chapter which I am willing to share can be found on the Twilighted thread, and I can't seem to get logged in this morning.  In general, there has been and will continue to be method to my madness.  I'm still not telling anyone what comes next.  If you feel the heartache is too much, bail or wait a while and come back when it's done.  I promise I won't hold it against you!

The next chapter will be out when it's done and beta'd.  If that happens before July 1st, it will post before I go on vacation.  I will do my best to try to make that happen, but my kids just got back from their summer trips and I'm spending time with them first.  Then I am single-parent while Mr. Savage is gallivanting about (well...he's going away on business) all next week.  The only promise I can make is to try.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

  1. You are so sweet. I love uc and I'm upset about the circumstances and my heart hurts for them but they are your characters and I'm glad you write them like you want to. it makes it so much better:) thanks for sharing.

  2. Love your stories, always have. Have read them all. But I am one of those who find the over the top angst unnecessary. I am a lurker. I'll be skipping the next few chapters and only reading the last few lines to see where they are are in the angst. When all calms to a normal level of angst, and B&E are together as they should be, I'll be back on the full read of the chaps. If that doesn't happen, then I'll be moving on. I think the most mystery of your stories is you. Will you or won't you let us finish the stories. :)

Have a great vaca and see you at the finish...maybe, that's up to you!

  3. I really felt sick in the end of last chap.. I will continue read, I like angst. I just don't be used read history incomplet, so, end the read and know that the history can go for anyplace is very scary! I hope that you be "write straight with crooked lines".. I can't wait for the end and I never could left this history, I fail in love.

  4. I am the only reader to say I this I bet but I ADORE the angst you just introduced! And it might sound crazy but I will be dissapointed if he doesn't have sex with his cocumbine cause that would be totally unrealistic and where's the angst in that? lol I don't want him to fall in love with her or have kids with her but it would be awesome if he slept with her! gotta love the epic heartfail! some writers don't dare to go there and I'm like "whatever chickens" lmao!

  5. I too am a lurker, but I wanted to cry at the end of the last chapter. I can't decide who I feel worse for: Bella or Angela. Or maybe Edward. I smell some nasty Aro plotting though. Jessica was too smirky for my liking . . .

  6. Personally, I applaud you for this twist that we all saw coming. To see readers claim that they will stop reading due to their hearts being crushed at the possibility of Edward having to have sex with Angela is downright laughable. I completely trust you in your storytelling ways even if my favorite couple have to suffer a bit in the process.

  7. Totally agree with thesiflster above. I've read everything you've written and love it all - angst included. I have to say I'm a bit of an angsth00r, so bring it on. If Edward can get it up for Angela I guess he'll do the deed, but I doubt he'll enjoy it in quite the same way - but he's a man .... What he'll hate, of course, is hurting Bella. I'm hoping that, between them, Bella and Angela will find out that Jane has been up to no good with that tea of hers and that once she's despatched Eddie's little swimmers will have more success! Can't wait for the next chapter and, regardless of the heartfail, I will so be continuing to read - I have NEVER understood people who read the end of a book first; do they watch the end of a movie first? If so, they presumably never go to the cinema. Oh well, each to their own. But anyone who complains really shouldn't be reading your stories because they ought to know by now that angst is part and parcel of what you do - and long may you continue to do so.

If you don't post before the 1st have a wonderful holiday - I'll be right here waiting when you get back lol.

  8. I don't think you should feel bad or need to apologize for the way you choose to tell your story. I'd rather read angsty substance than superfluous crap. I'll be reading it as long as it's good and interesting, but it doesn't need to be happy all the time. Unless you kill off Edward or Bella, then I just won't care.

  9. What is the guarantee that Angela WILL get pregnant?? Still hoping you do NOT go down the ugly path of Edward sleeping with others for an hier. But you did mention 40 chapters or so...so to me that means trouble ahead. Maybe you should give Bella a lover too to see if indeed the fertility problem only lies with her. lol

  10. I hope that Bella is already pregnant! Please don't give Sir Edward a child with Angela! Love your writing can't wait if you get it before July 1 that is grand if not enjoy you vacation! Love ya Savage!

  11. I hate the fact that if Edward does go though with sleeping with Angela,Bella will have to accept this 'for the good of the kingdom etc' but if it's Edward who couldn't have kids,if Bella were to sleep with someone else to have a child then Edward wouldn't let it happen he'd be killing people left right and centre,he'd put his foot down.Whereas Bella has to accept Edward sleeping with Angela,so much double standards, that's what annOys me :( I will lose respect for both Edward and Bella if they accept this.

  12. Well I am not one of those that will stop reading just because I'm a little scared of what is happening. I love the angst of your stories. I think that it is just we have to wait for a while so it's just a little more stressful. If we wanted to pick and choose what is written then we would be writing our own stories. I really do hope that Bella doesn't just bow down to the situation because he needs and heir blah blah blah. He needs to know how she feels and that this situation fucking sucks big time for her and why!! But we all know that Bella will hold her tongue so she doesn't make him feel bad blah blah blah! I do have a feeling that bitchy Jessica and Aro are stirring some shit and Jane Jane Jane...what is in that tea???? Some kind of early time birth control me thinks.,..but why when Bella saved her from a horrible life. Yes Edward can be douchey to her but Bella isn't. She owes alot to Bella.
We will just have to "grin and bear it" until our wonderful writer....'THE SAVAGE' releases our mind from this torture she has created with her wonderful and stratically placed agnst!
Can't wait for an update darlin!!

  13. Hello. You did an excellent job when it comes to enabling the reader to understand the characters of Edward and Isabella as well as the love they share. These are fictional characters and we feel their pain. That being said, if Edward sleeps with the concubine in order to produce an heir, then his duty is more important than his love for his wife. Even if the King threatened to do harm to Isabella, or abolish the marriage, that behavior is very out of character for the Edward you created in this story. We are talking about shattering a sacred bond. Also this contradicts his religious beliefs. He would find another way. It doesn't matter if the story is a period piece or if concubines were common in the middle ages, or the prince must obey the king, or this story has an angst warning. It still doesn't fit with the character you created. I would take an educated guess that a future king would think outside the box and find another way. I love your writing, and I always loved how your characters grew and matured throughout the story. I have faith that you won't stray from that path. Also, if Edward is suspicious of Jane, then I wonder why he trusts her to give Isabella food and that contraceptive tea? Again I know this is your story and I am not telling you how to write it, but hopefully we will get some answers to some of these questions real soon. Still love your stories!

  14. For your other stories, I had always waited till they were done before reading them and now I know why! I like angst, but when it involves infidelity, I have to take a step back. If I were Bella and Edward had slept with someone else, let alone had a child with someone else, I don't know how I'd be able to look at him anymore. The fact that his actions would be out in the open and not hidden would be infinitely worse. I'd lose a lot of respect for him if did end up sleeping with Angela and I'd lose a lot of respect for Bella if she said and did absolutely nothing.

BUT it is your story and I trust you to guide everything safely to the end. Since there's still a heap ton of chapters to go, I'm going to wait till the story is done before continuing to read. I can tell there's plenty of angst and heartfail to come and when I get to those parts, I'd like to be able to read through till the end without waiting in depressing suspense. Once I see that this story is completed, you can be sure I'll come right back to where I left off!

  16. Well, for angst stories I usually wait until the end but I just can't leave an unread chapter of UC... it'll be haunting me for days! I can't wait for the next chapter, even if it will cause me heartfail! :)
