Almost every review I received on chapter 3 so far is begging for extension. I kept telling you guys this was a one-shot!! Err....short story!! Only three chapters! Err....well, four. Maybe. I think.
No promises, but I do have a little idea though, and wondered what people might think. I was thinking - *IF* I think of additional plot for Judging Books characters, I'll plan them in three chapter segments. Each of the three chapters will be it's own mini story (beginning, middle, end) that will also be a continuation of the last segment. Once a group of three chapters is done, I won't guarantee any more, but I will always at least finish the three segments.
Remember - this is still a side-line story, so I'm always going to be focusing on something else (like Surviving Bella).
Am I crazy? Should I plan on writing it all backwards? :) Shut up about it and finish Surviving Bella Chapter 11? What do you think?

I'd love to see you continue the fic. The 3 chapter segment is a cool idea. So why not? I'm a Surviving Bella fan so I understand the conflict but...I'm greedy! I want both...lol. See what happens when you suck us into your world?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, whatever works for you is cool.
I know I said in my review that I wanted more. But truth is, you have to do what feels right for you. I will happily accept any decision you make, and I'll be reading whatever you post. (Well, that was no help).
ReplyDeleteLove this but love Surviving Bella better so , please whatever you do, pay lots of attention to that story too. Love your writing!
ReplyDeleteI like both stories but I have to admit the Edward in Judging Books is so refreshingly different. I find myself waiting with anticipation until I can read the next chapter to see how the story develops. I like both stories and I know you say you meant Judging Books to be a 'one-shot' however; you're writing it with a very broad plot line that is not going to be resolved satisfactorily in a chapter or 2... it's almost cruel to leave us hanging!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the 3 chapter segment idea. That way whenever you have a little time on your hands and want to get away from SB you can write for JB. And JB has such an open story-line you could take it anywhere you want with 3 chapters. You could let her move in with him, meet his friends, meet her dad, go to the zoo, heck you could even let her get pregnant and he becomes the stay-at-home-dad while she runs her father's company.
ReplyDeleteI like that you are not giving up on SB, because I wouldn't know what to do without my favorite story.
I would love to see Judging Books continue but I don't want Survivng Bella to suffer. Can you do both or could you continue Judging Books after you complete Surviving Bella?
ReplyDeletenow you know most of us are just a group of really needy, greedy bitches.. which means we want it all. Or roughly,, anything you will give us... it's your own fault you know, for being the awesome story teller you are.. Pam B.
ReplyDeleteas long as i am being a needy, greedy bitch, did you ever think anymore of continuing "Want no More"?.. maybe after SB and JB??? That was a hot one shot but me being me i wanted more... lol... Pam B.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, I'm loving these characters...and wondering how you are going to be able to tie up the loose ends in ONE chapter...but I like the idea of three chapter mini stories...
ReplyDeleteAnd if you feel led to continue, rest assured, I will be reading!!!
I'm with Kathie. I love this Bella and Edward and did find myself wondering how you would "leave them" in just another chapter. I find this Edward so compelling, heartbreaking at one moment and so full of hope: for himself and Bella. I find her at the cusp of big things in her life, and I find the idea of her realizing she's living her life for others and taking back control of it, rather exciting.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of 3-chapter arcs to continue their story at your own pace.
On the other hand, I love your writing, so no pressure from me: whatever you decide, I'm there.
