I think we are being to hard on Edward. Yes, what he did was wrong and selfish and especially now that we know it was his request that caused this. But he was trying to fix things before Bella told him how she came to him. He is trying to do the right thing and fix things isn't he? He doesn't have to, he could have just did what he wanted all along and the heck with Bella and her Mom. I think he is redeemable and is trying.
