Could Be Worse, Right? Pulled From FFN

As you may very well have heard or discovered, CBWR? has been pulled from FanFiction.net. I received a fairly generic message from FFN that is had been pulled because it violated the explicit content guidelines. I do not believe it has, and plan to appeal, if I can figure out just how to do that. :)

Since my story has been reported for abuse of the guidelines, my posting privileges at FFN have been revoked. I can't post anything right now, and they did not indicate when I would be allowed to again.

In the meantime, don't panic. I have no intentions of abandoning the story, and will find it a new home as quickly as possible. I'm not sure exactly where yet, but as soon as I know I will get the word out.

I have probably gotten about 500 messages today, and there is no way I'm going to get to them all. Please feel free to pass the word along in any forum threads and such - this story isn't dead, I didn't take it down, and it will be resurrected somewhere. As soon as it is, I'll post links here, on twitter, on my FFN profile, the twilighted forum, etc.

Unexpected Circumstances - I planned on finishing the chapter today, but with the FFN/CBWR fiasco along with my car being filled up with kerosene instead of gasoline (yeah - really), my day was pretty much shot. I have no idea when or where I will post anything at this point, so please be patient. I will do what I can when I can do it - promise! :)

Thanks for all the messages, supportive tweets and such. You don't know how much it helps when your day has gone to shit to hear people are thinking about you. :) THANK YOU ALL!!

    You are one of my favorite authors of ffn so i can't believe they pulled your story, it is one of favorites i will be checking back often to find out where you re post the story it is amazing.

    :( real sad to hear that but if u need a email of support of your story i am will to put one in. there are many story on there about slaves you story was not they only one. i found nothing in it that people could of companined about only thing i can think of is jealous as you story a real good, :) ok you know you could always e-mail me the next chapter of uc :) only kindding not hope you get it sorted out weekitty

    You could post it on Wordpress.org. That's where MOtU is. That story got pulled from FFN too. Those f*ckers! Lol

    Well, actually she pulled it because she got it published. But before that it got pulled for the same reason as CBWR?.

    Now, KEROUSENE?!?!? How in the... Holy shit.

    I can't believe they got kerosene on your car. how is it even possible? I mean, we don't have kerosene on the petrol stations here in brasil.
    this is almost worse than the ffn fiasco. almost.

    Censorship sucks. Kerosene is just unthinkable. Unless you can use the kerosene on the censors....

    You could try LiveJournal....don't know it they have guidelines but I've come across 1-3 authors that have posted their stuff on LiveJournal. I need my fix of UC...didn't start with the new one but was going to.

    You could always post over on Twilighted. They are pretty laid back there. I actually started reading UC and Surviving Bella on that site. I used to write for a different fandom and some of my stories were pulled from ffnet. They weren't in violation to my knowledge. Too many under 18's reading M fics and not understanding the content I think.

    You have used humor to see into one such criminals head. We find that once humanized and given a face and name, the crime is exposed to the light and dies. People change and heal through knowledge, self examination and introspection.

    Repost 'CBWR?' on an actual writers site. (Live Journal, your own blog, A different Forest, WCS and there at least 20 more quality sites) We will all follow you.

    Lets face it we all log in to FF simply because it is easiest, not the best.

    YOUR CAR! Eeks, for your husband sake I hope he was not the culprit. An accident is just that. I hope you can get the tank drained or that the fix is something simple.

    Remember, someday you will think back on the situation as a really funny memory. Maybe not for awhile though- And when you are all wrinkled and wistful, you will be thankful for such a memory to keep you out of the gin for a bit longer :)

    Could you post on Twilighted.net or adifferentforest.com? They love you over at the forest! I don't have a account with TWCS as I haven't been able to figure out how to register there.
    As another poster mentioned you could follow the example of the author of MOTU.

    I don't know if you still need it, but I have all the chapters you'd posted to FFn with the a/n all in one big file. Also, dunno if you got any help with how to post the chapters in order, just change the timestamp on the posts, and they will line up in order. :)

    I'm starting to hate FF. I don't see a reason why CBWR would be pulled. There are a lot more explicit and violent (don't forget horribly written) stories.

    Just let us know where you gonna post, I been reluctant to open a TWCS account, but what the heck I'll do it for UC and CBWR.

    It is crazy, I can literally list off the top of my head stories so graphic sexually, including child sex on FF that were completed. I can only asume it was people who read it and did not like it. That is the only way really a story get's yanks. No hidden sensors, just readers with entirely to much to say. Sad, if I do not like a story, I don't read it.

    Look at it this way, you are in good company, both Icy and HH got yanked for the same ridiculous reason!!!

    ok i am crying i am missing both of your story and it only been one day! i have email FFN to let them know that i am dipointed in them, i dont understand why people have to compane about ur story you told them what it was going to be about the couold of just not read it. hope you start posting agin soon, please note i and many others enjoy your story and i am miss them:( you are a great wright and could easly get both cbwr/ and uc in to book i for one would buy both. please do not give up becouse of your bad day yesturday.     I don't get it! Surviving Bella is much more graphic than CBWR. They really are ridiculous over there. I love your writing and I truly enjoy reading your stories. I would try twiwrite or twcs. I haven't heard of stories being pulled from either of them. Sorry your day was so shitty. Hopefully it's looking up. Take care.

    Ugh...stupid Blogger ate my post. Sorry to see your fic pulled. Sounds like FFN is doing some purging...the site has been wonky for weeks. Anyway, FFN has very specific guidelines about posting MA fics - as in you can't. However, the admins are lax in policing so they rely on users to report these "violations" and then stories eventually get pulled. However some groups have taken it upon themselves to perform and organized cleansing of the site of any rule breaking/grammar abusing fics. This becomes a "cause" under the name of "OMG" they are breaking the rules...THE RULES! If you were around the fandom in Feb 2010 you may recall the great "Twilight authors/readers vs. The Literate Union" brouhaha. The Literate Union is one a few forum groups on the site who have decided to focus their attention on purging the forum of bad and rule breaking fics. You may have been a victim of one of these collective efforts. Too bad, love your writing. I will follow you wherever you choose to go.

    Sigh. FFN is crazy. It's so sad that such a great and beloved author can be shut down because a few righteous pricks take it upon themselves to 'cleanse'. Bleh! Just know that no matter where your stories surface, they will find a following; just tell us where to go, and we'll be there.

    Personally I'd go for Wordpress or TWCS. Twilighted won't let you upload multiple chapters at a time and it'd take forever for them to get all 40 plus chapters there. Or just post here on your blog.

    Very sorry to discover your fic has been pulled from FFnet. As it was hardly sexually explicit - one bj to date - I'm wondering if someone objected to the violence and high body count. This doesn't make sense either as there's at least one fic I know of still on FFN where Edward is a serial killer & many murders are described in graphic detail. And in CBWR it's the kind of violence that we all accept in countless films & books where the hero kills armies of 'bad guys'.
    As ever in the seething snakepit that FFN seems to have become, what it really comes down to is spite and some very mean spirited people with their own narrow agendas & axes to grind.
    Don't let the bastards bring you down.

    there doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to FF's decisions... a fic can have thousands of reviews and one complaint and it gets pulled!
    I've written to the 'admin' before about this ... particularly during last year's organised "Flamer-fest"!
    If getting support was to help, let us know, it seems that you have AMPLE out here!

Thank goodness for Google, I put in your title and found this place. I think someone snitched because of all the reviews you received in such a short amount of time.
