Need opinions!

So here's the deal. I'm working on the next chapter of Judging Books, and much like the last chapter (okay, okay - like the whole damn story) it's getting really, really long. Much longer than I intended.

So, is it better to post a chapter with a cliffhanger, or wait until the entire thing is done and post later? Let me know what you would prefer!

  1. I'd rather wait...I'm not fond of CLIFFIES...especially if it's a HARD one...sigh...

    So I'm willing to wait!

  2. Only do a cliffhanger if you intend on completing the chapter soon. If it's going to be after
SB is completed then just make it long.

  3. I love how your story keeps growing. It means you are loving writing it. I won't be much help on you decision, cuz I want you to do what you think's best. You've got me either way.
By the way, how painful is the cliffie? That could make a difference.

  4. Just to be clear:

If you don't post a cliffhanger chapter of JB in near future, you would put JB on hiatus until 1) SB is all written and posted, and 2) JB is all written. You would then basically be posting JB as a finished story with chapters released on a schedule.

  7. I vote. Full chapter no cliffie. I really don't want it to end. I am so strangely attracted to this Edward. He's like no other than I've read (or known).

  9. i tend to agree with the above folks... cliffhanger o.k. as long as its not a LONG wait... otherwise; i'd rather be patient and have the whole story upfront. you already know you're writing is well worth the wait. as fans, we're thankful for whatever you decide to share with us. SB and JB are both awesome stories but very different so i think we would all understand if you need to put one aside to perfect the other. as always... you rock!!!

  10. No cliffie please, especially with this story. I flove this Edward, a LOT. I'm already extra anxious as to what Bella is going to do. I'd rather wait for the completed chapter!

  11. Porfavor, no cliffies lol! I prefer that you finish the whole thing, I'd rather suffer tbh, that's how much I love your stories!

  12. Looking at everyone's comments and thinking about it more....I vote for no JB cliffie: you work on SB and when YOU want to devote your efforts to JB, do it then.

What's most important to me is that we keep you a happy writer! So you do what you need to do!

  13. I'd rather a long chapter, even if we have to wait a few more days... usually I turn into a useless mess for hours after reading a cliffie...

  14. I would rather wait and get the whole thing instead of a cliffhanger and then still having to wait.

    Just my opinion.

  15. Cliffie is fine, because the next part will only be posted a few days later, right?

  16. Well I'm the type of person that when I read a book, I read the last chapter first, so I guess it's safe to say I don't do cliffhangers very well. However as a writer I understand how fun they can be. And if I'm honest, I really don't care as long I get to read what you write and if a cliffie means I get to read some of your story earlier, than it's worth it.
